Starting something new is no easy feat, especially when you have no experience in the industry. When I first started Inti Boys Apparel, I had no clue what I was doing. I had a full time job, a newborn baby and had to learn everything about an eCommerce business from scratch. But after one year of hard work and dedication, I was able transformed my boutique into a full-fledged apparel label with its own collections and a wholesale branch.
I can’t take all the credit though. I have had some help along the way. One of the most important things I did was to get a coach. Every other week, I meet with my coach to discuss things like marketing strategy, product development, and brand design. This has helped me immensely in developing my brand and growing my business.
Another major factor in my success has been finding trustworthy manufacturers. This has been a long and painful process, and I have had to do a lot of research to find the right people to work with. I finally found a reliable, trustworthy, family owned manufacturer (who is also women led) in Peru and I have been so grateful to be working with them.
The third and arguably most rewarding factor has been creating relationships. I have met so many amazing people through my journey, from other mom entrepreneurs to amazing women in marketing and design to all of my amazing customers and their babies who I have now watched grow for three years!
And finally, by opening my wholesale channel, I am now able to offer quality and stylish baby apparel for mama’s around the world! If you are a momma, aspiring entrepreneur, or just want to start something new, don’t be afraid to take the leap and start something for yourself! You never know what can happen, and it’s always a great experience to learn something new. I am so grateful for my journey and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for Inti The Label!
